aloha,
i have two bird feeders on my porch next to the kitchen. one is birdhouse shaped and the other is an open basket with a birdseed ball feeder.the point is i listen to a lot if happy bird song.yesterday i was washing dishes and heard a bird sing.. i looked up to the high feeder and saw nothing, i looked to the basket feeder and saw nothing so i figured they were in the nearby trees but the song continues, it sounded close, so i finally look at the porch rail where a sooty robin is watching me and singing..did i mention the weather has been BEAUTIFUL HERE LATELY!

there is a road nearby with eucalyptus trees on both sides, planted by the railroad in a failed effort to have rail ties,and when they are wet with dew or rain the smell is Heavenly and reminds me of when i lived in Frisco and walked thru The Presidio at dawn....u should try it.

also while watching tv yesterday somebody mentioned the 8 year "sugar high" of fossil fuel cronyism (OILY-GARCHY) under THE BUSH CRIME FAMILY..while America slept the Germans mastered wind turbine manufacture and the Chinese-Japanese mastered the software involved, all things we could have done in Detroit or the NUMMI plant which closed in Fremont recently.have you seen the jingoistic ads touting Green Energy as an answer to Foreign Domination? well, it's too damn late ALREADY... huge huge sigh. T.BOONE PICKENS called the American Southwest the "saudi arabia of windpower" now we look around to who has mastered this technology and VOILA!
