STEPHEN HAWKING,arguably one of the smartest men on the planet,has got the MSM (main stream media) and Larry King's panties in a twist by proposing that if "V" style aliens meet up with humans saying WE COME IN PEACE! we should doubt them. given our bloody history why should any other species regard us as anything but combative cattle? when we exploit naked "savages" in 3rd world countries do we care about their feelings or so called human rights? if we are not the top of the food chain then why should we expect otherwise? saucerphiles already report that UFOs are draining our oceans of rare metals and trace minerals, without asking? and if the UFO contactees are legit about anal probes and hybrid creatures...SHUDDER. some UFO contactees report that this planet is already on QUARANTINE, why not?

SCI FI TRENDS

my second line of fave sci moves is the ALIEN series (except the sequel with the monks), the gory over the top PREDATOR 2 and the AVP (ALIEN VS. PREDATOR)series so far, i also loved 40 DAYS OF NIGHT for it's logical nastiness.

saw PANDORUM on STARZ last nite, still thinking about it's ranking...the plot and sets seem cobbled together from a bunch of other decent films (see above)with an attractive white male hero, a buxom TOMB RAIDER lookalike female and a macho Asian male who you know dies before the end credits.

i have two lines of thot i want to intertwine here.
the original RIDLEY SCOTT'S ALIEN had a looming sense of DREAD which the best sequels kept pouring on. a little know horror classic GOD TOLD ME TO maintains this same aura up until the last frame, as did the classic SEVEN. I LIKE RAW MYSTERIOUS ENDINGS,which don't tell me everything (think the Russian SOLARIS)and i can live with that. i get both IFC and SUNDANCE so i can watch the original Japanese or Korean horror films (The Eye,Last Call and others) then watch the american remake...our version tends to sweeten things up and ALWAYS POSITS A PSUEDO SCIENCE EXPLANATION, DON'T.

TECHNOLOGY WILL NOT SAVE US...

just look at BP and the Gulf Blowout, failed ecology attempts, mid oceanic garbage patches east & west,fossil fuel failures and PEAK OIL, atomic energy,bank bailouts,900 point NYSE stock plunges, 'urban planning', Big Pharma on and on and on.

why would you trust the same demons which took you to Hell to bring you out again? THAT'S CRAZY!...but so so american.sigh & cry..
