the good news is I HAVE LOST 14 Lbs in just over 3 months.
the bad news is someone asked ISN'T THAT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE CANCER?

good news,in the last week i have found several other people who HAVE THE SAME PHYSICAL PROBLEMS AS I DO... bad news, not one has a diagnosis yet including the older woman i talked to on the phone at Stanford whose mother has been suffering with this for years.
good news, none of them is dead yet...bad news, i am scheduled to see more doctors and get still more tests.good news, i have a local friend who is a year ahead of me in the process and we can compare notes...SIGH & SMILES.

my PCP is Rwanda for the summer, doing her usual volunteer work at an AIDS clinic her family founded. see i do know a HERO when i see one.
INCEPTION,THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE & I AM LOVE all got Great revues, hope to catch at least before the summer ends. missed SPLICE due to my short hospital stay,it was only here for a blink then vanished, will catch it on cable i guess.RESIDENT EVIL 4 is due out this fall as is THE GIRL.. series finale YUM.
the weather here of late has been MAGNIFICENT.we call it, i call it "CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WEATHER" and there is a FREE brazilian circus at the Boardwalk all summer, hope to catch that too if possible.
BTW yes i am writing less often.
my energy peaked after the first transfusion (about 4 hours per Unit)about 80% better than before, with the second blood drop i only got a 25% boost and the third had lil fx far as i can see.there was an episode of HOUSE where a woman kept bloggin' from her hospital bed, if i had a laptop i would too.i am told that taking IRON PILLS may help after a month or two, its only been few weeks so no sign of progress yet...transfusion, all in right hand and arm, aggravated my carpal tunnel so i am wearing one of my carpal cuffs24/7 again. looking more crip than usual...

wallowing in new goodies on the History & Science channels, watching hours of reruns of CRIMINAL MINDS & the docu series GANGLAND.

the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) turns 20 this summer (July 20th i think) so naturally this is the year that more crips will die due to budget shortfalls (stop cheering you Greedy Old Poltroons) and KGO tv featured a story wherein they want to NARROW THE DEFINITION OF "SERVICE ANIMAL" TO TRAINED DOGS ONLY.naturally the non profit which trains said dogs sponsors this.i admit there are abuses in the system, i know a crip who has two cockapoos(sp?) as service animals but i also know crips with CP,post polio or stroke survivors who have trained monkeys as their 'hands'.
as the ADA is written all you have to do is proclaim your animal a SERVICE ANIMAL without any other certification and it cannot be barred from any local.they showed a homeless guy who had a surly dog for 'emotional support', the dog lunged at the tv reporter and cameraman...the lower colons, eh solons, in DC will have to take bids on who to listen to HUGE HUGE SIGH.
gotta go, off to see FREE MUSIC in Menlo Park with Soul Mate. can't beat the price...cheer up Z MAN,it's life & life only. "DO 4 SELF"!
