this week a lawyer spoke about her book ORDINARY INJUSTICE which reminded me how many times Napoleoni's ROGUE ECONOMICS makes reference to THE MATRIX and even KEITH O'S special comment makes the linkage.
let's look at THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA & POLLS, the GOP Moneywhores parrot the usual line about " WE HAVE THE BEST...IN THE WORLD" which is patently untrue yet why do people believe it?
when SOUL MATE & i lived in Berkeley we had a nabe who had fled Nazi persecution to America. we told her something ugly about american politics, i forget what exactly..her comment was something like OH NO, I COULDN'T LIVE WITH MYSELF IF THAT WAS TRUE...
is it that simple?
do we Not want to see, to understand? is it easier to just wallow in ignorance and cocooned in celebrity gossip rather than face the world warts and all?if all you rely on is the MSM then how are you ever to know external reality? i once worked with a guy and all he watched was 70s sitcoms, no news & no newspapers (except sports). often feel like a madman ranting on the highway as people whiz past obliviously listening to their iPods and talking on their cells.
as Keith O & the late Mario Savio say, sometimes you just have to be a bit of sand in the gears of The Matrix (nee The Machine).
