THE MATRIX
watching a curse-free censored Basic Cable version of
THE MATRIX last nite...still packs a punch.
was struck anew by the metaphor/mythology of it all.

i dislike,as mentioned b4, how much i dislike the whole
HUMANS LIVING LIKE RATS "future" of both
THE MATRIX & TERMINATORS films....sigh.
am struck, no imprinted by an image i saw on BBC NEWS in 2010.
whole families of native born Americans
(maybe some illegals too for all i know)
living in the large culverts under Las Vegas.
sigh & cry....
WHEN EXACTLY DID WE BECOME A SOCIETY
THAT THROWS PEEPS AWAY?
was it Guv Reagan when he closed the asylums and
threw the mentally ill on on the streets with a kick in the ass and a smile?
was it when the VA refused to recognize PTSD
after 'Nam and left thousands of ticking
time bombs/mentally ill vets to scrounge dumpsters in America?
like ANIMAL FARM (Orwell)
when did some Pigs become more equal than others?
i know i know,
i rail against The Elites
constantly but
i mean when did WE,THE PEEPS
accept the Hobbesian worldview
that Life SHOULD be nasty brutish and short?
as KEITH OLBERMANN would say
WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE???!
nobody is even talking bout POVERTY
as we daNCE AROUND THE wALL sTREET
GAZILIONAIRES FIGHTING OVER WHO HAS THE LONGEST..

THE AMERICAN DREAM IS OFFICIALLY DEAD,
KAPUT, MORTIS, STONE COLD RIGOR, ETC ETC ETC.
my kids will never enjoy the same opportunities that i was offered
cuz those jobs and dreams have been outsourced to China & India.
we are a bleak Third World Empire in Decline, Rome II is failing
in every way imagineable. so we can put all the lipstick on dead pigs as we
redo the color scheme napkins of The Titanic
as the icy waves of despair,Depression 2.0 and
and a rising tide of bleakness & Poverty
ride across the land like The 4 Horseman of....
wait
is that why all the birds and fish and hoofed mammals are dying WORLDWIDE?.

i have mentioned this before
i am now 63 and both the nerd/techies
and wary black helicopter crowd
predict that within my abridged lifetime
COMPUTERS WILL BECOME SMARTER THAN PEOPLE.
SETTING FICTION AND CINEMA ASIDE FOR A MOMNET
HOW ON EARTH WILL WE KNOW HOW THEY THINK???!
what is they are NOT like Vulcans,
what is they are like whales or dolphins
or some other species where thevery parameters
of existence vary wildy from our own?
what if they,like children, have a will and dreams of their own?
what if they regard us like ants or, worse yet,
like a growing malignant Cancer upon the precious Earth...
what if,like Frankensteins Monster,
they have no concept of morality
or compassion, merely a cold logical
machine precision
WHAT IF
Pagani will no doubt chide me
for builidng castles in the sky
then renting them out
but
we all have to be ready for THE IMPACT.
huge long despairing sigh...
why so gloomy? its another beautiful day in "Paradise"
with clear sunny daze in the 70s again.
i can vist the beach once the tourists go home
instead here i sit, typing slowly
at you.....
