there is a series of graphic novels featuring a super hero team called The Authority, i advise you to take a peek,this is a tangent of that. they have an interdimenzsional vehicle which is located in THE BLEED, i like this concept.in quantum physics MEMBRANE THEORY this would be the "aether" wherein all the manifestations of dimensions / membrane would be located.
lets take this as a given,shall we? otherwise all these Membranes are hanging in nothingness and the 'Brane Theory of the Big Bang, the Big Jostle?, become untenable.
