aloha 2u,
PAGANI,dear heart, i am no longer 'a rageaholic'
which i admit to when much younger.
exactly why am i Angry? (sigh)
i once wrote a poem where i described "Love is slow human bonsai"....
so is rage/anger. i am by nature a curious and persistent man,
three men i respected or loved were murdered by fegov during the 60s.
i respected JFK and MLK but i Loved MALCOM X..(sigh & cry.)
i had planned to see Malcom in the flesh on the day he was murdered
but a persistent foot infection prevented that so instead i listened to him
being murdered on the KLIV radio..LIVE.
it still brings tears to my eyes tall thse years later,
i LOVED that man, like a father-brother-comrade in arms-truthseeker.
THE FEDGOV.WHICH MY LIBERAL
CLUELESS WHITE TEACHERS TELL ME
IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT AND PROTECT ME,
KILLS PEEPS I LOVE OR RESPECT.
FRANKLY I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN OVER THIS....(.long weary sigh).
it is to weep still.
pick up my anti-depressants later today
so Chriss will be happy i will 'seem less angry'...(sigh)
as i tell my son Rage/Anger is an expensive fuel
which burns you out over time
but it is also our birthright as black men
in lily white Elites ruled AmeriKKKa,
sometimes it is all we have to take to prison or trials or frame ups
or our bleak drop out illegal drugs fueled futures.
BTW in the 60s, during an anti-war mtg filled with provocative LAPD agents,
a clueless middle aged matron from The Valley was mystified by complaints
of Police Brutality from blax, both men & wimmin.
"I don't understand you people. The Police has always been very nice to me."
a stunned hush fell over the group which confused her even more,
this is why we are angry.
a postcard i love too
"If i am not home accepting what i cannot change
then i am out, changing what i cannot accept."
SOUL MATE is reading a detailed bio of J.Edgar Hoover
and points out that he too has the Collected Sherlock Holmes
and could recite details of it backwards and forwards
while he too wore a skirt or dress...
@ AMC's the KILLING...
some savvy (why is this all BOLD?) AMC
programmer set the near perfect noir thriller "Se7en"
which is murky, dark, claustrophobic and plumbs some
of the depths of human depravity/misery is as standard procedural
Homicide investigation.it stars Morgan Freeman,Brad Pitt
and his then gf Gywneth Paltrow plus Kevin Spacey.
(not for the faint hearted,it is GRAPHIC)....
the KILLING is not Se7en but it's a direct descendant
with its gloomy claustrophobic Seattle overcast skies,
the cop on the verge of leaving the force,
a snarky new kid Homicide cop, the linking of politics and murder.
on her way to the bank SOUL MATE stopped by for a glance
and had an immediate gut wrenching reaction to the realness
of the family interactions,it gets to you and this
was just the 2 hour premiere...if you like TV
without make up and glitzy whizbang neon lab scenes give this a look.
i had much more i wanted to say but watch the
Democracy Now show for today for a flavor of my thots, okay?
worth a few more minutes out of your Life...
still living in "BOLD"

I always figured you were angry for the same reason I am: Because things are unnecessarily crappy.
ReplyDeleteI can zen-out on things that are crappy that can't be helped. I get annoyed when people make things worse than they need to be. I think of this as righteous anger.
The trick is to avoid having righteous anger turn into stress hormones that unnecessarily shorten your life. There's that word again. If you can balance on that edge then you have perfected right living.
