yesterday there was "a rolling gun battle" along a busy arterial
here in S'Cruz which left a 31 year old dead and crashed
into a Burger King,no burgers or workers were hurt in the process.
my initial knee jerk thots- as reflected in the daily fishwrap
was to blame the jerks from Salinas, the gangbangers
who arrive in droves every summer
to ogle the bikini clad and shoot each other
over "turf". a 49eers fan was shot
a few years back over wearing
"the wrong colors".....
so lets work back from there,
many gangs are mere tentacles of the cartels
who profit from the often senseless US "War on Drugs"
(thanx to Big Phrama too?)
which in turn feed the Prison Industrial Complex
(see RACISM aka Neo Slavery)
which is owned by many of the same War Profiteers
who got us into Iraqistan and finance drug dealers
like Karzai etc etc etc.
sigh, there is talk of the "Zero Option"
in Kabul Inc. as Karzai is a lying thief
who cannot be trusted as he talks out of both sides of his mouth,
so is Congress. every time i read Robert reich
his topic is basically
"CAN CAPITALISM BE SAVED?"
