in the 1980s (so last century)
then Gov.Ronald Reagan decided to
"reform" the mental health asylums,
what he didn't say is that this amounted to
giving the mentally ill a bus ticket to the nearest large city.
didn't you ever wonder where the "homeless" came from?
oh, there were always bums and vagabonds but they were mostly
few and far between after The Depression ended.
when we lived in Mendocino County,
above Willits a town and hour north of Santa Rosa on 101,
a retired nurse told us tales of confused young people
getting off buses in front of the Safeway
with no money,friends or contacts.
when i lived in frisco in the 80s,
a mainly transient town in that era ,
young confused often drug addled people
were a staple part of living on the streets.
so like most people i was unaware of
Reagan's cruel and heartless lies.

last year a large L.A. hospital was convicted and fined for
"patient dumping" of elderly and disabled patients
on the local Skid Row,this was often caught on video
hence the fines.
this week the SF Chronicle has told tales of a
psych facility in Nevada sending the
mentally ill to 45 states on Greyhound via
one way tickets,some of whom landed in Sacramento
schizophrenic and depressed so now
Nevada is in trouble with Medicare
which apparently most of the dumpees were on...
just so you know the world is still turning
before World War III starts
in Syria,how can O Bomber resist?
