Neanderthals....

hola, somewhat recovering.

several of you loyal readers have commented on my fasciantiion
with giants etc etc.
by way of example
NOVA (pbs.org) had a show
last week  DECODING NEANDERTHALS
in which they mentioned that conventional wisdom
and Mainstream Science held that
Neanderthals,who survived several glaciations in Europe,
had
NO LANGUAGE
NO RITUALS
NO SKILL SETS
this despite having a cranial capacity larger than
our own, which BTW was not mentioned.

so given our current patriarchal chauvinism
scientists believed that these humans were incapable
of progress,invention and mourning their loved ones.
apparently it is only in the last few years that this has begun to change.
so one might imagine the resistance that giants existed,
despite a mention in the Christian Bible,
in the pantheon (ever expanding)
of human ancestors.

i posted a link,last year i think,
to a radical theory that Neanderthals
were black brutish rapists
(racism much?) whereas
the current theory is that they were pale with red
or blond hair and freckles.

thru out mythology i have encountered
giants are usually depicted with pasty white skin
cannibals (man eaters) with red or blond hair.
no mention i have yet found
about the double rows of teeth,six fingers and toes
(altho Sumerians used a 12 based counting system
handed down by their Annunaki mentors).

so just a few thots from me on the subject.
