aloha2u today,
this is a difficult blog to write....
and NO i am NOT dying or anything.
1.
i have two white male friends about my age,
each is a GOP stalwart (imagine that)
one THOSE WHO KNOW (my porn expert)
lives in Hawaii and deep down inside beyond
all the usual veiled racism,homophobia and
Welfare Queens nonsense
is a really nice guy
(who denys the limits publicly of his disabilities).
the other Chicago Cynic
is also a nice guy
and he moved from sunny San Diego
(where he was the head of the local GOP there)
to a remote cul de sac mountaintop
outside darkest Lil Rock,Ark.
i talk to Chicago a few times a year
on the phone as he is unable to use computers
due to some of his disabilities.
apparently he doesn't get NPR on his mountain
as he complained about being trapped in
the Right Wing Dittohead Echo Machine radiowise,
no TV for the same reasons.
this before spouting some of the vilest anti-Semitic,
anti Latino ,welfare moms shopuld starve daMNIT
CRAP I HAVE HEARD IN AGES.
it was sad, he called back when we were out
to offer a coming "addenda".
should i aceept it,whatever it is
or did his mouth outrun hids internal censor
and the Truth slipped out.
his Truth anyway,not mine....sigh.
2.i am NOT a big fan of either Julia Roberts
nor Mel Gibson but both star in and are
excellent beyond words in the slightly contrived
paranoid-thriller CONSPIRACY THEORY,
wherein Gibson plays a paranid but rightfully so cab driver
and Roberts an earnest honest and pretty DOJ lawyer,
i know i know.nevertheless i feel conflicted that
this is one of my fave movies and no doubt
i often sound as looney as Gibson does
in this film to everyone else.
3.Xmas after penning my "y i h8 Xms" blog
we got a last minute invite from an activist friend to
her family Xmas dinner.
so we went and had a Great Time
sparkling conversation,good food and baked goodies
then a "White Elephant Game/raffle"
where the host gave gifts to the guests.
so aside from one on one Xmas with SM
it was the best adult Xmas of my life,
maybe even my entire life.
can i still be a h8er now?
i'm just saying....
