25% of US 104 nuke reactors are "clones"
of GE Mark One reactors currently melting down in Japan.
dubbed "unsafe" by NRC in 1976 many years after construction
but rubber stamped for an additional 20 years,Vermont Yankee,
past their 40 due date. half of these leak tritium into air or water table,
radiation has been detected in Japanese drinking water today.
CNN's usually obsequious Wolf Blizter got all froggy
with the media whore for the San Onfre nuke plant
who kept burping "credible seismic events' (i.e. 6.9 limits on Richter)
when asked direct questions about safety concerns.
KALIpornia has five or six nuke plants, three are active in SLO
and San Onfre, even the decommisioned ones sit atop multiple fault lines...
this is yet another fine mess they've gotten us into (Laurel & Hardy ref) sigh....
meanwhile the nuke power industry is spinning as fast as it can in DC
and the DemoPublicans are falling in line like ducks to the foie gras slaughter...
meanwhile Libya burns unnoticed and Haiti is still Japan
without infastructure and Shinto/Buddhist stoicism...sigh & cry.
