lets turn to O BOMBER'S "a new generation of safe,clean nuclear power plants" (per NYT) OMFG NOOOO! if you have been paying attention lately you will notice how the nuclear industry has adapted a new Frame of nuclear power as "GREEN". BULL F*CKING SHIT!
i have been waiting for someone to piss on this but i guess it falls to me.IMHO...SIGH.

WE ALMOST LOST DETROIT is a real book about a real nuclear failure which almost killed everyone in Detroit, not sure if this was before or after Three Mile Island.it was pointed out that if OSAMA BIN LADEN really wanted to hurt NYC there is an aging power plant upstream on the Hudson which, if detonated, would leave NYC uninhabitable for at least 7000 years...speaking of 9-11 before we moved to Santa Cruz we went online and found all the nuclear power plants, most of which are decommissioned with all/most of their nuclear waste onsite, and the route of the nuclear waste train which takes the less HOT Waste to Savannah S.C. nuke storage.
most power plants have a SAFE operating life of 20 years but this can be extended.
this is stream of thot scattershot so be patient.
1. whenever the DOE (Dept of Energy) sends in military teams to test nuclear reactor security or waste storage they succeed in penetrating it 80-90% of the time, this has been true for decades.

2. OUR TAX DOLLARS SUPPORT ALL NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS.
a. THE INSURANCE COMPANIES REFUSE TO COVER NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS, so our government does.
b.O BOMBER WANTS TO FINANCE 80% of power plant construction costs with loan guarantees and take repayment from any alleged profits.(estimated costs about $6Billion per plant so the current $18.5 B would balloon to $54B-for more plants & more jobs?)
b1. rarely, if ever, has any of these plants turned a profit.
b2.why are we financing Private Companies anyway, what FREE MARKET?
b3. nuclear plant construction has RARELY BEEN WITHIN BUDGET and NEVER DELIVERED ENERGY AT THE PROMISED LOW LOW PRICES!

saw SPARTACUS the new series on STARZ last nite....CNN was irate last week before the show even aired. hmmm, wonder why?

i hope it was the blood. how do i describe it GRATUITOUS i think but fairly realistic.death and dismemberment is neither pretty nor neat. THE WILD BUNCH, "300", the chambara (samurai) series BABYCART IN.... all were bloody messes but this was before the super reds CGI era. (i think it is well made enough to maybe be a minor hit, it is no ROME and often i looked past the nudity or splatter to admire the obvious budget conscious green screen composite shots like in GLADIATOR.wonder how soon it will take to wear out it's welcome???)

yesterday was BEAUTIFUL, a chamber of commerce grandiosity. i spent a good part of it looking for black cargo pants, i settled for dark blue after driving a a half hour to nearby Watsonville.even Soul Mate went for a loong healthy walk, WONDERFUL.

GREENERY
it is supposed to rain steadily for three straight days so i went out and fertizled our plants with time release plant food, we have a palm tree growing in our backyard and the Easter Lilies are already in bloom, our robust camelias are thriving and flowering and our odd collection of succulents, most of which were abandoned when a nabe moved in with his kids, are spreading happily.
