a minor point of clarification.
we have a lot of leftist and progessive friends who are
atheists, no Heaven No God, yet most were on the verge
of panic when GUN! was shouted a Peoples Park Sunday.
one of them,ISIS, inquired later how/why i was so calm
and sat unmoving at events unfolded.
i am a Zen Buddhist much like the legendary samurai
of feudal Japan (my spiritual mentors)
and when i said that i was prepared
to take a bullet in the back of the head without Fear
i meant it. BASTA Y BASTA!

Life has become a Worst Case Scenario
politicians try to scare us on a daily basis,
Dims cave and GOPublicans try to starve us to death
i ,for one.am sick of it.
I WILL NOT LIVE IN FEAR...
growing up in Harlem i was just another
faceless target of many many bullies (including my Mother)
i had to decide long before puberty whether or not
to live in Anxiety and Fear
or Fight Back.
i choose to Fight, i am tired ,so tired,
of being a warrior after my 63 years
but i will not be stampeded.
The Mirage told our son Z Man
that i quit taxi driving as i was
"fat, Paranoid and had three guns".
i do not recall The Mirage being overly curious
of any of my past exploits, beyond my life with
Korak the Killer whom we both worked with.
i have never been Paranoid, hypervigilant maybe
but not Paranoid. my steely nerves and impassive
visage have kept me alive up until now.
even my recent meds with suicidal side effects
don't faze me, i live with Death every day.
i have heard that Art, the Arts, spits in the Face of Death.
maybe that includes blogs (sly smile)
plus my paintings and photography and doggerel verse?
so if some psychotic in Peoples Park
wants to pop one off into my over sized skull,
like a Fu Mancho novel, so be it.
let others weep
for i am prepared to Die
anywhere anytime
bring it on.
i will not live in fear.

it was a pluperfect bezerkeley day in Peoples Park.
peeps sang off key sincerely, there were political speeches,
teary eyed stories, there were folk songs,a homeless man grabbed
the mic and shouted unintellngilbe gibberish,another man
had a confrontation with the gun visible in his hip pocket
shouts of GUN!spread FEAR across the small crowd
as i sat fear-less waiting to die,unafraid and unusual.
i wore a respectful dark green tartan kilt and a black
KEEP SANTA CRUZ WEIRD tee
to the Celebration of Life of Gino Sasso.
another bearded man wore papal vestments and
a CAPITALISM IS THE CRIME placard.
SOUL MATE talked politics with
O WISE HOWARD &
one of his 2 dottirs attending
and her mentor EARL.
then we all went to eat at a great place we know.
a Memorial Day that actually was

STRANGER TIMES

i am exhausted.everything on my body that still works....hurts,sigh.
had THREE Country related mtgs this week, one ad hoc and
a surprise blood draw this week.
NO REST 4 THE WICKED.. the catchphrase for my last screenplay.
first of all my heart goes out to the peeps of Joplin,Mo
and the tornado survivors of the devastated SE USA.
one or two things you might have missed this week....
JAPAN suffered from a rare Flip FLOP quake which up
until then has only been seen in computer models,
the subduction zone fault (like offshore of Seattle etc)
first broke one way-west then broke the other way-east
causing the massive tsunami.so when the flack/liars at the
NRC or Nuclear Institute on CNN et al reassure me
that their reactors are both quake & idiot proof...
KALIpornia now this one is odd.
KALI is NOT known for tornadoes
...quakes,wildfires,mudslides,floods,droughts Yes
but NOT tornadoes.
this week several small tornadoes 3-5 i forget which,
touched down along I-5 north of Sacramento.
now i have reported on the growing frequency of recent water spouts
and funnel clouds in Northern KALI since Climate Change began
and we have started seeing warm water fish like barracuda
amonsgt the traditonal cold water breeding grounds of
the Great Whites (sharks).
well anyway these said tornadoes stayed ON
THE GROUND FOR ONE HOUR,
ONE HOUR JUST LIKE JOPLIN
AND THE THE RECENT SOUTH EAST
this was Unprecedented, yet in light of Joplin
got only a passing mention on local TV,
i myself almost missed it as i was stumbling home from
another mtg in Post OPRAH AmeriKKKa.....sigh.
is Oprah done yet? is she still celebrating
her own The Oprahness?
did she get enuff TV coverage yet?
i keep expecting her to pop up with TV cams en route
to wherever i am heading next...long weary TV sized sigh.
i was going to write about sex this weak but the weak urge passed.
instead i will leave you with a joke, an old gay joke i've heard many times.

plus a lot of other Bleed-y stuff as examined by
CHARLES FORT among others...
BTW did i forget to mention that we had a UFO over
Capitola in broad daylight (as opposed to narrow daylite?)
last year? we are in a flight path below Vanderberg AFB
in Santa Maria south so we get a lot of mystery air noises
at nite but daylite? it made the front page of the daily fishwrap
and earned a giggling mention on local TV.
BTW2 while injecting insulin this ayem i dropped my needle
from sluggish unresponsive fingers
and it landed like a dart into my calf muscle
as i stared in disbelief and did not feel a goddamn thing.
no pain no pin prick no nothing.
my calves and legs are less swollen now on a new med
but my formerly prehensile toes are wrapped in an invisble garden hose
which severely limit their movement as well as my ability to walk
any distance without extreme exertion.
so if this blog wanders down excessively labyrinthine
corridors of cerebration you know why...so far
much of the brain still works.

PARALLEL UNIVERSES by name.
and like the most recent STAR TREK Alternate Universe movie they
speculate/postulate that given the Limited fractal/chemical options/components
of our Universe, which is Infinite, then it is Inevitable
that we exist across an Infinite but repetitive Mulitverse
as postulated by some guy named Everett who was
derided and disgraced while alive but vindicated post mortem...like Tesla?
hold on a sec...
aha, found it.scribbled across the back of unopened mail,as usual.
HUGH EVERETT is the guys name, he and not Marvel or DC
built the concept of the MULTIVERSE.
THIS APPEARS TO BE AN OUTGROWTH OF
mEMBRANE tHEORY..sigh.
'Brane Theory...
imagine an Infinite Universe in , lets say for simplicity sake,
two dimensions (not the usual 8 or 27)
like sheets of paper blowing in a Godhead inspired "breeze"
and according to a theory being realized by

each time these sheet bump each other a BIG BANG
occurs and a new Universe expands into being...

the theory posits that we create a binary divide
with each decision we make,just as the Hindus postulated

or choose Gurl A versus Gurl B
or have children or not
another Universe of Me splits off and evolves along that timeline.
so Ultimately we Never make Mistakes
as ALL Options are realized.....

that we exist across an Infinite but repetitive Mulitverse
as postulated by some guy named Everett who was
derided and disgraced while alive but vindicated post mortem...like Tesla?

NO it not yet another missing blonde somewhere
the Silence you hear is the MSM lack of coverage of the
silent but still deadly Fukishima Nuke Disaster,
like the Jet Stream has stopped sending nucleicatdes and what not
into our air,food and water SIGH.

& DILBERT THINKS HE HAS A BAD BOSS....CATEGORY
mY wORST bOSS is possibly a tie of three?
1. in the 70s i worked in an art store
it opened at 8:30 am and i was there.
my then Boss would drive in from Marin
(cushy rich Marin County)
drop his coat then proceed across the street
to the East Bay (Bus) Terminal...where
he would then play pinball until 3 pm
upon which he would return full of energy and futile ideas.
he fired me for WORKING TOO HARD
i.e. i would come in on Sundays,when we were closed,
to prep for the following week.plus i was querulous and demanding
i.e. when he sold items out the floor i was demanding
that he replace them so that we could sell more...
another art store Boss,another Marin dweller,
was both extremely rich and paranoid.
when asked if i had ever benn Bonded
i replied " yes 5 Times, that should prove i'm honest."
he countered with "no, just that you've never been caught."
this was at my opening job interview and yes
i did steal from him and couch others on how to.
this was after a long time worker broke her arm at home
and was told to come in or be. fired....
and like a dutiful sheeple she did. LONG SIGH.
they also had bag or purse inspections every time
you left the building,including lunch.
one female worker had worked out time off
to pick up her boyfriend who'd flown in from Europe
but when the time came to leave no one of the
owners family nor managers was anywhere to be found,
and i watched her look, the next day she returned
only to be fired for missing the inspection.
anothert time i worked security
at PG &E HQ in Frisco,
you know PG&E from the San Bruno pipeline BBQ
...eh,Disaster Fire.anyway there was another guard
whose wife was dying of cancer,
a truly nice guy, and we gossiped,as guards do.
he told me about this wife and her cancer and how
he was GLAD to have a well paying job with rigid schedules
to keep him together thru her transitions
(me i hated the job and quit after a month or so)
so anyway they FIRED HIM becuz.....
they Feared when his wife died he would PROBABLY
START DRINKING AND BECOME A LOUSY WORKER!
(a thot crime of sorts)
based on what evidence? none needed apparently.
there was a female Boss in L.A. who you had to literally fuck to get a raise.
there was clueless Boss in Texas who wandered around adrift.
there was a clueless Boss in Frisco who lived on a diet of booze and Oreos
and was in charge of fucking up our work schedules...sigh.
another Boss at the same place who i walked in on screwing
one of the female workers
and he did'nt stop as he answered a question...sigh.
both were eventually fired but NOT for conduct
or lack of Basic Job Skills....
same place again, a Born Again Christian
female was fired for NOT doing Coke
with the male Bosses after hours,
and these were diff Bosses from the ones mentioned before.
when i worked at KELLY Girl as a temp
my paycheck was only right when my Boss was out sick,
otherwise she'd screw it up every time!
worked at a comix shop and my Boss would call me in,
i was part time when not at Kelly Girl,
then pass out in the stockroom or go toy shopping in
Chinatown for hours on end while i held down the store-alone
on busy New Comix days.he was fired for
being an ex-con when the new owners took over.
and these are just SOME of the Bosses i had
long b4 The Great Recession and disability...
did i ever have GOOD Bosses, rare as hens teeth but Yes...
can't think of any at the moment,NO briefly at one hotel i worked at...
but he soon left to open a New Hotel in NYC. (weary sigh)

in the toilets if not deemed clean enough
plus he pocketed ALL OT PAY
and as they were all Illegals,dare them to protest.

but got fired for hitting on his Boss' Mistress
(she was having a 3 way with Upper Boss and wife).
same hotel my morbidly obese Boss
got caught fucking the scrawny egomaniac trust fund baby
head of Personnel
in the trash room, by his wife
during the Xmas Party....amused sigh.
they were Both Fired.
same hotel three, had a New Boss whom i trained,
but when i was patrolling the halls or the lobby
i could never seem to find HIM anywhere. he would be around
to punch out but at other times...radio silence.
so being a gossip i soon found out he was actually working
the lobby at a Diff Hotel,a mere block away,
the same shift he was supposed to be working
at my hotel.(WTF?)
when my alcoholic paranoid Boss,

demanded to know what i knew

THOR sigh

THOR is a Near Miss, close but no boxtop.
directed nay misdirected by the talented Kenneth Branagh
the CGI sets look both cheap and cheesy and the overblown Kirbyesque
(Jack Kirby being the Main Man artist when Thor the comic was launched)
looks fake and plastic.. what this movie needed IMHO was a Micheal Bay
(Transformers) or whoever directed the sparking SALT with Angelina Jolie
now playing on Starz and Netflix..i expected something more Wagnerian
given the source material, of which i am very familiar with both.
CHRIS HEMSWORTH is sparkling eye candy hunky as Thor
but poor Natalie Portman is wasted as his briany love interest,
upgraded from nurse in comix to astrophysicist, in
a role that even Megan Fox could have sleepwalked thru.
since the 3D version was playing nearby i spent $8.50
for cheap wasted 3D specs which added ZIP
to the cinematic experience. as some of the battle scenes
are filmed in near darkness which the dark tinted
3D specs do nothing to illuminate,
go see 2D its cheaper or wait for the DVD.
also most of the movie, a good chunk anyway,
takes place in the New Mexico desert so don't go thirsty.
