my life was different after i discovered LSD.i became a better different person, one causality of this was my dream of joining Mensa-the organization of geniuses....i had taken the test in NYC and passed but had been rejected for being too young so i waited and went West.when i took the second test at UCLA i had been up about 36 hours on an unplanned alcohol and LSD fueled bender,shit just happened.so i failed....unknown to me a private detective in the poor foothills of Beverly Hills had begun a group for ALPHA,peeps smarter than 90% of the populace and not 98% like Mensa.in those days Mensa had a rep for being stuffy and academic whereas Alpha liked to drink,party and screw.
so at the first gathering of Alpha there was this short blonde and i noticed that everywhere i sat i found myself staring up her skirt,a technique i wound notice often in the future.later she called and invited me out,i went on several platonic dates with her to movies and the beach,more staring up her skirt...so when i suggested sex she told me that she had to consult her shrink first-say what? apparently he had advised her to act on her lustful impulses towards black men but only so far,so i did not wait around to see if he approved penetration.
when i became political Anti War etc etc there was a pretty brunette in my group named Susan who invited me to dinner,i went. her son Mark was one of three of the most terrible children i have ever met.unbeknowst to me Susan and her hubby,who were in the same group, were in the process of divorcing.
so one late night meeting before a really crucial rally of 10,000 or more,Susan threw herself at me sexually which-as the leader of the group was a really really bad time for me-so she threw herself at another guy,a UCLA student,who was overjoyed to accept.it was a rebound fling which sound ended much to the UCLA student's evident dismay,both wound up dropping out of the group.
found a girl in Alpha who i had some real chemistry with,we would talk for hours about everything-too bad our schedules were never in sync and i fled L.A. before we ever met in person.
now back to our regularly scheduled misery....
